Akhor Debuts Elegant Lumière Blanche Editions with Unique Dual-Disc Display

Instructions

Geneva-based independent brand Akhor has introduced its new Lumière Blanche editions, expanding on its critically acclaimed Le Temps en Équilibre collection. Known for its innovative dual-disc display and proprietary movement, this latest release puts a fresh artistic spin on the original concept by emphasizing the elegance and versatility of white in its design. These timepieces exemplify a harmonious blend of technical sophistication and aesthetic refinement, solidifying Akhor's position in the luxury watch market.

The Lumière Blanche models maintain the collection's distinctive 39mm cushion-shaped case, available in either 4N or 5N gold. Each case, with its 11mm thickness, showcases meticulous craftsmanship through its blend of polished and satin finishes, highlighting its graceful curves. A notable feature is the sapphire crystal on both the front and back, offering a clear view of the intricate layered dial and the finely engineered movement within. The signature dual-disc dial structure, which positions an upper plate above a lower disc, creates an intriguing depth and allows the hands to operate beneath the top layer. This patented construction, particularly striking in these white versions, gives the dial the appearance of a complex mechanism rather than a mere decorative surface, further enhancing its appeal.

Two distinct variations are available to cater to diverse tastes. The first features a radiant white sunburst dial, adorned with numerals at the cardinal points and rhodium- or gold-plated stick indices and hands, exuding classic elegance. The second option presents a more contemporary, technical look with a white honeycomb dial, complemented by a diamond-set bezel and clasp for a luxurious, jewelry-inspired touch. Powering these exquisite watches is the manual-winding calibre AK10, an exclusive movement developed for Akhor by Clamax. This COSC-certified chronometer, measuring 31.3mm in diameter and 3.9mm thick, boasts 117 components and 12 jewels. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, offering a substantial 60-hour power reserve from a single barrel. The movement's craftsmanship is evident in its hand-applied anglage, fan-shaped Côtes de Genève, decorated wheels, and unique screw heads that mirror the case’s cushion profile. Both Lumière Blanche editions are presented on a hand-stitched white alligator strap, secured with a folding clasp that matches the case material. Pricing for these exceptional timepieces begins at CHF 57,800 for the sunburst dial and CHF 67,800 for the diamond-set honeycomb dial, inclusive of taxes.

The debut of the Akhor Lumière Blanche editions underscores a commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional watchmaking through innovative design and meticulous engineering. These timepieces not only serve as a testament to precision and artistry but also inspire a deeper appreciation for the intricate beauty and sophisticated mechanics that define high horology. They remind us that true elegance lies in the details and in the harmonious balance between form and function, encouraging us to seek out and celebrate excellence in all its manifestations.
